GROOMING BOX TIPS While everyone’s Tack Box will be different, here is a list of some things to include in your tack box. You can start out small and add to it a little at a time. Things For Your Tack Box Current copy of AKC Show Rule Book - You never know when you might need it to look up a rule. Extra makeup Q-tips An extra pair of panty hose, Poop bags Ten one dollar bills Cordless dremel Nail clippers - both human and dog Trimming scissors Thinning scissors Stripping knife small paring knife - to cut bait Mustache Trimmer At least 2 combs – For you specific breed Flea Comb Shedding Rake At least 2 brushes – For you specific breed Leads of all sorts 2 Regular leashs Several show collars - For you specific breed Mints for a nice smelling breath A sprayer of plain water - washes my hands as well as mists the coat. Lots of rubber bands Kleenix Cotton balls, Safety pins Business cards 3 x 5 cards (good for exchanging addresses, and making notes on judges) Permanent marker - for marking your things and covering up stray white hairs Mint extract, I find this works better than Vics on the boys Zip lock bags - to place your number in if you are showing outdoors and its really wet out. Dryer sheets - Bees will stay away Paperclips Can of static guard Ink Pens Blow dryer Baby wipes Bait - I like to include several kinds. Dogs can be picky somtimes. Squeaky toys Extra squeakers A clicker Hair Spray - on the paws of your dog and the bottom of your shoes to prevent slipping and falling Small sewing kit Spray bottles Wash and dry waterless shampoo Shampoo – For you breed Conditioner - For your Breed Anti- Static Hair Mouse Clothes pin - for holding numbers and show schedule in grooming area Multi-plug Extention Cord splitter Plug converter Quickstop Small lock for locking up items An Energy Bar - you never know if the food stands are open or if they even serve food you can eat, due to health reasons. Bag to take to ringside - to take extra coller, lead, comb/brush, small water bottle, pick up bags. Anti-bacterial wipes Directions to hotel and show site Copy of Rabies Certificate Small watch or clock to watch time Balloon or sign, for grooming arm when meeting someone DOG SHOW PAGES

Duct tape Extention cord Extra crate pads, in case a dog gets sick Bungie cords Space heater for winter shows Fans for summer shows Paper towels Grooming table Grooming arm Towels for drying dogs Air Blower Chairs Water bowls (3 sets, for Hotel, show sight and travel crates) Food bowls A few gallons of water Dog Food Toys for bordoom 3 Crates for the show site, Motel, and traveling Crate covers, (Good for giving shade as well as a place to rest in peace) An outdoor thermometer - Use a mini bungie cord and fasten it to the crate door Ex-Pen,- I prefer one with a lid Sunscreen cover for Ex-Pen Clips for Ex-pen and sun screen cover Ground cover
